Mark D. Lingenfelter
Creator and Host
As a performer, director, choreographer, and teaching artist, Mark’s work has been seen throughout Michigan, the Quad Cities, up and down the east coast, New York City, and of course, in his home state of Pennsylvania. A native of Mifflinburg, he currently resides in New York City and is placing his focus on the development and creation of original theatre pieces, of which The Buggytown Repository is one. Since 2011, Mark has conceived and directed the performance tributes for Theatre Harrisburg’s annual Arts Awards which acknowledge distinguish service to the arts in the capital region. Mark’ solo show “The Laughs, The Legend, The Lingenfelter” was performed at Open Stage of Harrisburg and is currently being re-written and workshopped for future productions.
Mark is on the Leadership Council for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, where he serves as the secretary and co-chair of the Recruiting Committee and he returns to Mifflinburg every April to emcee Camp Koala’s annual gala.
He is a graduate of Catawba College in Salisbury, NC and has done further study at Celebration Barn Theatre, the Paul Sills Theatre Game Center, The Barrow Group, and at Primary Stages’s Einhorn School of Performing Arts. Mark is also a member of The Spark File creative community, where his fellow sparklers have encouraged him to “KEEP GOING” with this project.
